59 days and counting...

Henry and I
....I will be 8 months on Sunday

You, my friends, have not lived until you are almost 8 months pregnant : ) and your house looks like this: Those are roofers on the roof, all of the trim has been removed, and the siding has been scrubbed. We are now prepping for new windows, trim, gutters, and paint.
59 days and counting...

let the waddling begin!

Today it was announced, down the hallway at school, that I have started to waddle....

gee, thanks : )

At 1 week shy of 8 months, I'd say that the "diagnosis" is probably correct.

Happy Friday!

some of you will hate me for this...

The high for tomorrow is 89 degrees.

This girl is not thrilled about it.

Why?

I bought winter maternity clothes not summer maternity clothes.

I was supposed to have a baby in the spring, not summer.

I wasn't supposed to be hot and miserable.

It is hot and I am SUPER hot....and sweaty.

While I enjoy the sunshine and warm weather I was not prepared for this!!

Time for some shopping!

Hi Henry,

It's mom. Daddy and I (and grandma) have been working our tails off to get your room and "stuff" ready. You will be here in 73 days, that's about 1763 hours...not that anyone is counting! ; ) We have painted and fluffed and attended birthing classes and grandma has sewn (and sewn and sewn) and shopped and made lists in preparation for your arrival. It won't be long!

I will be 30 weeks or 7.5 months pregnant this Sunday. I've started seeing the doctor every 2 weeks. We have another ultrasound scheduled in a few weeks. Little one, you may be the most documented baby in utero ever! Speaking of ultrasounds, on Monday Miss Kelsey called to say that you are going to have a little girl playmate...a W/S wedding has been mentioned but we wont rush you!

The weather has been spring-like lately. Which makes me think of stroller walks, grilling out, and friends.

You are loved,
Mommy

childbirth class

Today D and I toured the hospital, watched a few videos, and learned some relaxation techniques for labor. At 7 months pregnant we thought it was time for a childbirth class. The good new is, that after our 3 hour crash course in childbirth, we have decided to move forward with Henry's delivery. ha!

Here I am in front of my OB's office.

This is D carrying my bag and the package of newborn diapers that we won at the class!

a few friday funnies...

* Earlier this week a principal stopped me in the hall at school to say hi and ask about my due date. I told her it was May 27th, she thought for a minute and said "So you'd be able to sub on May 23rd right?" um....no : ) 39 weeks pregnant and corralling little kids does not sound fun to this girl!

*Last night I over did it (for the first time, seriously, yes, seriously, since I've been pregnant) on a craving/food....a hot dog, nachos, and ice cream... I was down right ill. It sounded SO good at the time but I regretted it all. night. long. LESSON LEARNED

before you judge I didn't eat the whole hot dog or nachos
but I can't say the same about the orange vanilla swirl ice cream ha!

* Yesterday I had to go to the hospital for some blood work and a shot. Henry and I have different blood types/compatibilities (D can be thanked for that!) so at 7 months I needed a shot so I wouldn't build antibodies against Henry's blood. Sounds pretty Twilight-esque huh? So I got my blood drawn and was sent up to Labor and Delivery for my rhogram shot. Last time I had this shot, the nurse game it to me in my arm, no big deal. THIS time the nurse literally de-pants me with no warning. Listen that's quite the feat with a maternity panel up to your bra... The look on my face was priceless. Oh Henry, the things I endure for you!

aaand that's enough over sharing for today! Happy Fish Fry Friday!

sweet boy

This past Thursday D and I were up "with the birds" at 5:30am for our Level II ultrasound in Toledo.

In an effort to get little H moving I enjoyed a McDonald's bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, a red gatorade, and orange juice. : ) During our ultrasound we could see him swallowing and squirming. The radiologist told me that he could taste what I had eaten so he must have enjoyed the OJ! ha! Good grief this kid has a personality! Every time the doctor would move the ultrasound wand to encourage Henry to move (aka poke him) he would promptly kick right back. We could see it on the screen and I sure felt it.

Henry at 8.5 weeks

 Henry at 28 weeks

I dare anyone to tell me THAT isn't a miracle.

Who changes that much in 20 weeks!?

The 28 week ultrasound is in 3D. You are looking at his face. He has his hand covering his right eye and is literally pouting. haha. Little boy doesn't want his picture taken so early in the morning!

**D has informed me that I am having (another haha!) pregnant moment. That is Henry's RIGHT eye not his left***
