help!!!!!!

How does a pregnant woman not know how many months pregnant she is?!

I am 22 weeks pregnant. 22 out of 40 weeks....how many months? I have no idea! Every website contradicts itself.
Website 1:
1st Month = Wks 1-4
2nd Month = Wks 5-8
3rd Month = Wks 9-13
4th Month = Wks 14-17
5th Month = Wks 18-21
6th Month = Wks 22-26
7th Month = Wks 27-30
8th Month = Wks 31-35
9th Month = Wks 36-40

Website 2:
0 Month = Wks 0-4
1st Month = Wks 6-8
2nd Month = Wks9-12
3rd Month = Wks 13- 17
4th Month = Wks 18-21
5th Month = Wks 22-25
6th Month = Wks 26-30
7th Month = Wks 31-34
8th Month = Wks 35-38
9th Month = Wks 39-42

ahhh!! I am either just turning 5 months pregnant or 6 months pregnant! How can the counts be so different!? While this pregnancy is going quickly...I really would rather call myself 6 months and not be just starting my 5th.

The solution? I am going to the doctor tomorrow. That. is. right. I am going to interrupt the nurses at my OB's office and ask them how many stinking months pregnant I am and then I may cry on the phone if they don't tell me what I want to hear.

oh, and word to the wise, I was never 0 MONTHS PREGNANT. I was sore and nauseous from week 3.5...that's why I took a test and that week counts as something. 0 months pregant my foot.

brrr it's coold!

....as I type this, I know I certain someone in Alaska is doubled over laughing at my being "cold" in Ohio : )

I woke up today dreaming of a snow day. I think teacher's love snow days more than students. way more. way way more.

Today at school a student asked why I was holding my belly. Which in a second grader's mind, is a polite way of asking if I was pregnant. ha! I haven't made a point of talking to students about my pregnancy. They are young and I was personally curious to see when they would catch on. I told him there was a baby in my belly and thus became known as "Mrs. S, who is going to have a baby."

Word travels fast in the lunch room and by the end of the day I had had several belly rubs, hugs, and nuggets of wisdom from students ranging in age from 5-8.

"Don't yell Mrs. S, you'll wake the baby up."

"My neighbor had a baby, she's 17. How old are you?"

"Teacher's shouldn't have to work while they are pregnant, it's too stressful" yelp.

".....just wait for the hiccups" *insert knowing smile*

Like I said, nuggets of wisdom.

Happy, almost Friday!

Dear Henry,

You are a wiggle worm! ....literally. This morning I drank some orange juice and I swear your did the worm or maybe the electric slide across my belly. We are more than half way to meeting you. In 19 weeks or so you will be making your big entrance. This past weekend your grandparents (whoa that's weird) and aunt (weirder!) came to visit and help with some baby projects. We finalized the fabrics for your bedding, ordered a glider, and your dad and I finally selected a paint color for your room. Lucky boy, your bedroom may be the most decorated room in our house!

Last week at the doctor's office you were a bit, hmm...uncooperative? : ) During our ultrasound you would not move so that we could see your sweet face. I laid on my left side, right side, and back but you were snug and happy and not moving. So we have to go back for another ultrasound in a few weeks. While some would consider that uncooperative, I am not-so-secretly happy that we get to check in on your again. Thanks, love! As of last week you are measuring about a week ahead. You weigh 14oz and in my opinion have very long legs. : ) We are smitten.

Love,
Mom

right now....

*I am sitting on the couch introducing my son to the likes of Rihanna and Lady Gaga while D p90X's in the basement

*AND I'm eating cheesecake.....while D p90x's in the basement.....

*Henry seems to enjoy Rihanna quite a bit, as he is literally "flipping" out in my belly

*I am debating whether or not the Christmas tree can just become a permanent feature in our family room

*It is howling outside! Snow is on it's way...1-4 inches. That's a pretty big guesstimation on how much we are going to get, don't you think?

*You would die if you knew what the temperature of our home is set to. I'll tell you....D is freezing his behind off and mama (that's me) is burning up....66 degrees. ha ha ha

Today I started feeling "it"

I really hope none of you thought I was talking about my son. I've been feeling him for about 10 days now : )

Today I started feeling the extreme urge to nest. To prefect my home in preparation for Henry. D has no idea the "honey do" list he is about to come home to. I'm literally walking from room to room throwing things away and noting on a note pad what needs done and repaired. ohh man, our weekends are filling up fast!

I'm hoping to post our photos from the first week of our 365 project today, but we need to take today's photo, make sense? So maybe this evening?

Tomorrow we, I mean D, is going to finish Henry's ceiling. Last weekend he scrapped all the ugly popcorn texture off, sanded, repaired, sanded again, and primed the ceiling. This weekend he is painting the ceiling, installing the new light fixture, and hoping to select a paint color for the room. *Don't worry Betsy, I won't be involved in any painting and may be giving you a call for your opinion....we have D to paint! : ) *

hi ho, hi ho, it's off to nest I go!

News Years Resolutions

D and I had a quiet and perfect New Years Eve. Dinner at Bravo! and then couch time and Dick Clark. Maybe next year we'll be out partying all night long...well...we might be up all night long, whether we're partying is a different story. right Henry? ; )

I am extremely excited about my New Years resolution. The plan is to take a picture every day of 2012 and then to make a book documenting our year. This is going to be a big year of transitions, joy, and ch ch changes, perfect for pictures.

My other temporary resolution? "NO Spend January" ha! Other than necessitates (groceries, car repairs, etc.) no spending. no un necessary bs. After receiving so many gifts in December there is absolutely nothing extra that we need. I did a great job (if I do say so myself) this past year of not purchasing any holiday decor so I am up for this challenge.

Yesterday we had our first snow, about an inch and a half. D and I spent the day with friends. The boys went to a diaper party while the girls had lunch and visited, then we all went across the street to another friend's house to watch football and eat. Now we are back to real life after a much needed and well used Christmas break.

It's time for the quiet, snowy, cozy days of January and I couldn't be happier.
