A few weeks ago K mentioned an upcoming race in Kenai to end violence against women. A few of you may know that my youngest sister was assaulted in March 2010. As it has become a goal to participate in a 5k and my personal experience with violence against women, I knew that this was my race.
K and I have been training daily. We walk with miss A and K's very spirited dog B.
K and I are going to make ribbons in honor my sister's strength and resilience. I'm going to wear one, K/miss A will wear one, D will wear one, and P K's husband will wear one too.
Prayers, comments, and support are welcome. ha! Just kidding, I've got this covered! : )
